September 19th - September 26th

Boy this week was super fast and fun!! Let me tell you why!!

Monday - So Monday was officially the start of fall here, the leaves are changing (it's not to glamorous at the moment so no pics yet) and the weather is a cool, Washington 60s!!! Love it!!! It went from 90 last weekend and this whole week the highest was 65ish, love it!!! Anyway,

Tuesday - we had a half mission conference and Elder Bennett and Elder Dufeó from the Quorum of the Seventy came and spoke to us! Way cool! It got us pumped, so pumped that we had about 100 missionaries, 16 Spanish, 2 French and 5 Russian with the rest English speaking missionaries, blitz the streets of downtown Concord!! Way cool!! Elder Espinoza and I went and talked to a lady who was super nice and we taught the restoration with her and she accepted to meet again, and another dude who's name was Bill, he wasn't to interested and he started bashing on child baptisms.. so we pulled Moroni 4 on him and threw doooowwwwnnnn! So much, he accepted a Book of Mormon and a return appointment. HOLLA! Way cool, Afterwords we went back to hear more stuff, more training and how to be better. Afterthe conference was over, we went to Dartmouth and talked to some people, mainly a lady in a store names Rosía. She's from Guatemala, speaks English well, but that isn't important because we have a Spanish investigator!!! WHOOOO!!!! Fruits!!! Afterwords we came home and practiced Spanish haha

Wednesday -We had no district meeting so bright and early, we went to try and contact our referral Matt, but no luck, so we went to Dartmouth again to see Rosía, on our way we ran into this LDS family, the Morgan's, they are from Utah and served as mission presidents in St Louis and knew the Blairs!! Way cool, they where looking at a original copy of the Book of Mormon. Dartmouth has a copy and shows and tells the story of the Restoration because the doctor that operated on Jospeh smiths leg when he was a boy, was a doctor from Dartmouth and he created the surgery and they pretty much go through a history of the impact they could have on someone for being a doctor. Pretty cool if you ask me haha. Anyway, after that, they invited us to dinner tomorrow night. We then, went to see Rosía again and taught her the plan of salvation, which was... for me... a little rocky, but that's how I learn haha after, we had exchanges unexpectedly and Elder Sobisky and I went to Woodsville to try and contact a referral. Which we couldn't do so we knocked and found a couple cool people. We contacted a group of homeless people, whoops, that said they are interested in coming to church and are interested in learning more. They asked where church was and I said in Enfield and they said "what da ef, you a bunch of crazy mutha effas" hahaha classic, (guess they really weren't that interested) so we moved on and taught a lady the restoration who was painting and her dog was jumping all over us haha she lives in Lyndon so we moved the referral over to the Lyndon Elders. After that we went and taught brother Brigham and Sister Tyler and helped prepare Brother Brigham for the temple! He's going to the temple tomorrow to get sealed, way awesome! After that we went home for the night.

Thursday - We went and saw brother Fogg, we just talked and helped him feel better and invited him to start working on family history and he shared stories about how he needs to start doing it. We shared miracles about our experiences and he's working with his neighbor for us to have a lesson with them. Way cool!! We then went to Will Mohn's house and tried to see him, but he wasn't home so we went to try and see Matt again with no luck. We went to the Browns and taught them. Never a dull moment with the Brown family haha we taught them about faith and related it with Pokémon. NAILED IT!! The kids loved it and they understood completely haha awesome! We then planned to go see Vince, but we where inspired to go see Will Mohn again. So we did and it was a fabulous lesson. We taught the second step of the addiction recovery and had a really spiritual experience. HE ACCEPTED A BAPTISM DATE AFTER 10 YEARS OF INVESTIGATING FOR JANUARY 21st !!!!!!!!! Holy crap!!! So stoked! Great end to the day.

Friday - After weekly planning we went to go find. We went and knocked but not much new luck so we moved onto another street and had a lunch with the Bettweisers. We then started tracting and we talked to a really nice girl named Sarah, who probably we won't be teaching because she was really flirty and... not to dressed and.... really wanted us to come inside, she was like 20s... so we said we couldn't right now but we would stop by another time and would call her before and she said "alrighty, I'll be waiting ;)" I was laughing pretty hard and elder Espinoza was looking a little shell shocked and freaked out haha. The rest of the street was pretty chill, we talked to the people and they politely said no until Will. We where walking back to our car and Will was outside and we where like "hey you got a second?" Which you shouldn't do and he said "not really" and we said "just a quick second" then he said okay and once we got passed his hate for Muslims and the government, we had a 45 min discussion about Joseph Smith!! He said he has been around the memorial before but never actually went, so he's all in board with the missionary fireside and he wants us to teach him again. MIRACLES!!

Saturday - We found a mouse in our apartment so we tried to kill it.... but failed... a lot.. so we went down to Ascutney for a baptism interview and then had dinner and we where late to coordination, which is chill because our mission leader wasn't home. So we shared a lesson in Spanish to sister Kings parents. Which was fun! Then went home.

Sunday - today was fun because in church, the talks where great, the spirit was warm. We babysat in primary and had a interesting time doing it haha after church we went to the Mohns again and shared a little message and that was it because.. we got home late..

Miracles are true!! They are real!!! God is a god of miracles!! Love you!!

August 12th - August 19th

Sorry it's short. The area is starting to get hard.

Monday - we really didn't do much for a p-day. We went and had breakfast with a member down in Ascutney, then we hung the rest of the day and watched our plans melt away.. classic

Tuesday - Wednesday - I have got the beginning of the school year sickness. I threw up, mixed with allergies, I've had a dry throat, sinus congestion and I've been addicted to nose spray. Go figure. Hahaha dang.

We met a dude named Riley, who looked like a member of black veil brides. Gothic, crazy, weird. Anyway, we where walking down the sidewalk and about 30 yards ahead I told Elder Espinoza to walk around the building and avoid this guy because I got weird vibes. Anyway, as we where walking we here from behind us "hey! Why you walking so fast!" We turned around and there he is. We walked in front of a hair salon for witnesses. Anyway, we asked where he was from. He said, salt lake and he was a Mormon!!!..... we asked why he's here and he said he's a traveler, he wanted to bum a suit off the bishop and as funny as that would be, we decided not to do that.. he said 3 days ago he was in Portland Maine, and a week ago in Seattle... what?.... so after that, he was gone... never to be seen again..

Thursday -  I was so sick but we had district meeting and I went and we talked about comp unity. Later, we went and stopped by the Browns and the Zimnicks, who were all sick too and it was totally chill to teach haha

Friday/Saturday - Friday was a unsuccessful day. Other then Dartmouth. I'll tell the story.

Friday afternoon we went to Dartmouth Administration to try and see what we where allowed to do on campus. We talked to some super high up people (intimidating) and they where very nice and told us we would receive a call Saturday. Saturday rolled around and we got a call from a ward member, who was the religious representative for Dartmouth. She promptly and quickly said "you can't do anything at Dartmouth" so we said okay and left it at that. A couple hours later we got a phone call from President Blair. He said "Elders I just got off the phone with Bishop Crossett.. Elders, I'm not happy. He said he wanted me to pull you back from Dartmouth and I said nope. then Pres. Blair said,  "Here's your new mission, should you choose to accept it. Elders, he ruffled my feathers. You are to go back on campus and interview the churches on campus. Gather information for me and I will meet with your ward member Thursday and get you back on campus. I don't care if you get arrested, if things get salty, speak Spanish."

So this week we are doing that.. kind of intense.

Sunday - church was interesting, sacrament meeting was good, second hour a teacher announced she was a feminist and wanted the priesthood and asked us why women can't have it... so dang.. had to wreck some feelings... then we went and saw the Browns again and hung out with them then did some Spanish the rest of the night.

Sorry for this crappy e mail.. it's been a tough week.. I'll do better next time!!

September 5th - September 12th

Monday - we got to go to the Temple!! The temple was so cool!! I freaking loved it!! I didn't get to take pictures because elder Espinoza and I where late to a session so we did other things until it was our turn and by the time we where done, we had to book it home. But anyway, when I was in there I met a family from Lawrence! They are amazing, I loved them so so much and I told them I volunteered to do Spanish, they where so happy and they emulated so so much love!! Amazing!!

Tuesday - we had exchanges and elder Hill and I went and taught the Brigham's, I freaking love the Brigham's!! They are so funny, I love talking to them and being able to share the gospel. After words we went and tried to see other people but no luck.

Wednesday district meeting was funny, we all kinda just goofed around haha but had a great time. We then had service at the Haven. Then taught the Browns, which was awesome!!

Thursday - we went tried finding all day. But no luck

Friday - we weekly planned and went to see the Brickles. Awesome, kinda weird, we then had a dinner with the Bettweisers and went to help wire their downstairs for a while. It was way cool.

Saturday - we went and had a "member stop-by madness" thing. We went and tried to see as many members as we could, which was fun! We saw the Fishers, Cunninghams, Sharon (investigator) Vince, all them folks. Then we went and had a corn roast at the Cahoons which a bunch of the members. It was way cool, then we went and hung out and waited for transfer calls.

I'm staying in Hanover with elder Espinoza! No transfer this time.

Sunday - was a hard one because we have members moving, but we hung with the Dartmouth students, there's about 8 of them and they are all awesome. Love them, then we went to the Browns and hung out for a little bit, didn't teach because they where not feeling good. Bummer, then we called it a day.

This week hasn't been the best.. Or the last couple weeks. But my Spanish is improving and I am working super hard! I'm sad I wasn't transferred because I was excited for Exeter Stake Conference, but that's okay, keeping my head up and going strong! To make it better, we are gonna find more Spanish speakers, I'm way excited, love you all!!

Elder Espinoza and Elder Vogel at the Joseph Smith birth place memorial in Sharon Vermont

Augest 29th - September 5th

Monday - We had exchanges with Ascutney and I was with Elder Moon! I love elder Moon! We had a lesson with a less active named Jon Jones and he is a cool dude, loves his NASCAR, talked reading and had a blast! That was it.

Tuesday -We went finding and didn't really have to much luck there. We taught a lady named sister Bailey and got headaches, we then went and taught Dwayne and Melissa about the commandments. After, we went and saw sister Cunningham, who's from Olympia, and had a dinner with brother Roderick. He made us Lobsters, (bugs) which was pretty good! Haha then we shared about the word of wisdom with Sharon.

Wednesday - Aside from our service and district meeting, we had a dinner at the Bettwiesers, love them! So much fun, spirit was there, we all had a blast and shared about the Book of Mormon.

Thursday - We went finding up north again, we taught bishop and his wife, then we went to try the Sonhalters, with no luck. We later, contacted Vince Williams and set up for tomorrow.

Friday - we had apartment and car inspections so for the good portion of the day we cleaned, a lot. Then we tried to go out and work a little bit, but no luck.

Saturday - We didn't have much luck, we didn't get to do a whole lot because we tried to do more weekly planning and more finding. We did however, have a great lesson with Ashley and the Browns. It was great! Really refreshing. We also had a lesson with Shannon at the JSM 9Jospeh Smith Birth place Memorial) and yes mom I got pics, that was super cool to see the birthplace of Joseph. There really was a special spirit.

Sunday - Church was very good, I really enjoyed the fast and testimony meeting this week. After church spirit high, we went and had another lesson with the Browns and we also tried stopping by other people. We met up with Dakota and Jen finally and where informed about a lot of stuff... Hard stuff, but she really loved us coming by and really enjoys us. Which was nice to hear.

Not much this week, it was hard. But it makes us stronger, I'm excited for this next week because transfer calls are Saturday and I really want to hear what's going to happen! Love you all!

I did get to go to the Boston Temple this week. It was amazing. This week was a hard week for me. I really needed to be filled and uplifted by the temple. I was excited to see some people from Exeter. I miss them. And I met some people from Lawrence out of the spanish ward where I will be headed. they were excited and loved the fact that I want to go there and speak spanish. they told me, "Don't worry about your spanish, we will help you, Please keep me in your prayers. thank you so much.
